The September Bramble Bash in The Dell, organised by the Town Council, was a fantastic success. Sixteen brilliant volunteers turned out to tackle a huge amount of brambles and bracken, helping to give the new plants planted in 2024 the best possible chance to thrive.
The Dell, located in the Upper Broadstone Recreation Ground, is a beautiful and peaceful woodland area, with a meandering stream and winding path. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and in spring the azaleas, rhododendrons and magnolias put on a spectacular display.
We’ll be back in March, just before the nesting season, for another Bramble Bash. Keeping the brambles under control will help the woodland plants flourish and ensure The Dell remains a lovely place for everyone to enjoy.
